Hakusan Porcelain Flat Bowl/HIRACHAWAN 白山陶器平茶わん, Good Design Award (G Mark) in 1993 and the Long Life Design Award in 2004
The flat bowl series is a very popular product of Hakusan Pottery.
The most attractive feature of this series is its excellent design, as evidenced by its selection for the Good Design Award (G Mark) in 1993 and the Long Life Design Award in 2004. More than 100 design variations are available.
The fun of choosing is one of the main attractions of this product. You can enjoy looking at, using, giving, and collecting them. What's more, the patterns are all so cute and unique that first time when I looked at it, I just shouted out "Kawaii"!!
The flattened shape of the bowls, which are larger than the typical bowls makes it easy to stack when storing.
It is very easy to hold and can be used as a small bowl to serve side dishes or simmered dishes, or even as a dessert or fruit bowl.
It is truly the gold standard of modern Japanese porcelain design and quality.
