This lucky cat with a Sakura (cherry blossoms) pattern is from Choho Kiln. The contrast between the red-painted Sakura and black, which seem to float in the night sky, is a beautiful color scheme.

The lucky cat with its right hand raised is said to bring good fortune to its owner. It is an excellent addition to your house decoration and brings good luck to you and your loved ones.

In the old days, Japanese farmers living with cats were said to prosper without crop damage because cats would drive away rats that damage their crops.

Today, also known as a "lucky cat," the beckoning cat is popular as a charm of good financial fortune.

Along with calico cats, black cats are also the standard for beckoning cats. The black cat is considered to be a cat with special power, and it was cherished that it would absorb the devils and disasters of the house.

Choho Kiln was established at the end of the Taisho era (1912-1926), and has continued to operate as a wholesaler and manufacturer of Kutani Ware.

The kiln is characterized by bold painting and delicate "mori-e", three dimensional decorations combining in Kutani Ware's iconic five colors.

In recent years, their main products have been interior decorations and ornaments.

The five colors of red, green, yellow, purple, and navy blue are skillfully manipulated to create the patterns.

The brush strokes are superb, from flower, bird, wind, and moon to landscapes and figures, and even innovative geometric patterns.

The skillful use of brush strokes to create flowers, birds, wind, and moon, landscapes, figures, and innovative geometric patterns is also noteworthy. Kutani-yaki is a collection of masterpieces in which artists' skills are at their best.
