SALIU RYO Tokoname-ware Japanese Teapot and Teacup
SALIU RYO Tokoname-ware Japanese Teapot and Teacup
Tokoname City, Aichi Prefecture is the place where the best materials and techniques for kyusu(Japanese teapot) are available.
The "RYO" series, the high end tea utensil series, originally designed by SALIU, is entirely made by hand by a traditional craftsman, Mr. Hirotaka Umehara. Each item in this series comes with individual gift box in which the tea utensils is carefully wrapped with traditional Japanese gift wrapping clothes.
The red clay used to make the teapot and teacup contains a lot of iron, which is baked at a high temperature and carbonized to produce a unique black color.
Teapot
-The high adhesion between the body and the lid allows you to pour out every last drop of deliciousness.
-The fine ceramic tea strainer attached inside allows you to taste the original deliciousness of the tea.
Teacup
The same as kyusu (teapot), Tokoname ware is made of water-resistant clay, which is a characteristic of the Tokoname ware.
You can use it safely even if you fill it with water for a long time.
The fine-grained clay gives a pleasant texture to the mouth.
